Fire breaks out at Ibn Sina Pharmaceuticals building in Gazipur
Two fire service units working to bring blaze under control

A fire broke out at a building of Ibn Sina Pharmaceuticals Limited in Safipur, Gazipur, on the afternoon of 17 October 2026.
The blaze started around 4:35pm, according to Saiful Islam, in-charge of Konabari Fire Service and Civil Defence. He described the fire as intense.
Two units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence are currently working to bring the fire under control, said Ayub Ali, a firefighter and duty officer at the same station.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage could not be determined immediately.
