The pass rate in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations 2026 stood at 52.12 per cent, with 40,084 students achieving GPA-5, as Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon officially announced the results on Saturday morning.

Students can access their results through the websites eduboardresults.gov.bd and educationboardresults.gov.bd or the respective education boards' websites by providing the required information.

Results are also available through SMS. Students need to type ‘HSC DHA 123456 2026’ and send it to 16140, replacing ‘DHA’ with the first three letters of their respective education board's name and ‘123456’ with their examination roll number.

Applications for re-scrutiny of answer scripts can be submitted from 1 to 7 November. Detailed instructions will be published on the education boards' websites.

A total of 1,270,583 candidates appeared in this year's HSC and equivalent examinations under 11 education boards at 2,697 centres across 9,439 educational institutions.

The examinations began on 2 July. Although they were scheduled to end on 8 August, examinations under several education boards, including Chattogram, could not be completed on schedule due to floods.
