Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmad has announced that the gazette for 46 candidates in the Special Education Cadre of the 49th BCS, who were previously excluded from the notification, will be published next Monday (October 5).

He shared this information during an urgent press briefing held at his office on Thursday (October 1) afternoon.

The Home Minister stated that the Public Service Commission (PSC) had recommended 665 candidates. Among them, eight candidates did not pass the medical examination, bringing the final number of successful candidates to 657. He also claimed that no discrimination based on political identity was made in their cases.

He added that the notifications for the 49th BCS were issued in several phases, and if any allegations were raised against anyone, they were verified and investigated.

Regarding the 46 excluded candidates, Salahuddin Ahmad said that the gazette for these 46 individuals—who were left out of the notification despite being recommended by the PSC—will be published next Monday.

Meanwhile, responding to reporters' questions regarding Mishti, a Member of Parliament from a reserved seat, the Home Minister stated that action will be taken against her according to the law, alongside organizational measures from the party.

Regarding the eviction drive against street hawkers, he emphasized that hawkers must adhere to discipline. He explained that the drive was conducted taking into account the suffering of citizens, adding that making anyone unemployed is not the objective of this operation. Crime is being treated as crime, and action will be taken wherever a crime occurs.
