The first trailer for "Ramayana", director Nitesh Tiwari's two-part adaptation of the ancient Hindu epic, has been released, offering the most detailed look at the upcoming film ahead of its worldwide premiere in November.
The story follows exiled prince Rama, played by Ranbir Kapoor, and his wife Sita, portrayed by Sai Pallavi, as their journey takes a tragic turn after Sita is abducted by Ravana, played by Yash. The kidnapping sets the stage for a conflict between the forces of righteousness and evil.
The first installment is expected to conclude with Sita's abduction, while the rescue mission and the final battle are set to unfold in the second film.
Both films have been shot for IMAX presentation. According to Variety, the combined production budget for the two-part epic is approximately $500 million.
