Nvidia Chief Executive Jensen Huang called on German manufacturers to aggressively adopt artificial intelligence, assuring industry leaders that advanced digital technology will not replace heavy industry.  Speaking on stage alongside German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Huang addressed attendees during the opening ceremony of the "Invest in Germany Summit" in Berlin on Monday, October 19, 2026.  Addressing concerns that rapid digitalization could threaten traditional manufacturing, Huang emphasized that AI serves as a powerful enhancer rather than a replacement for Germany’s world-renowned industrial engineering and heavy manufacturing base. His remarks pressed factory operators and industrial conglomerates across the country to integrate machine learning and intelligent automation into their operations to remain globally competitive.  The Berlin gathering brought together political leadership and international tech executives to chart investment strategies and drive technological transformation across European industry.
