Spain claimed their second FIFA World Cup title after defeating Argentina 1-0 in extra time in the 2026 final at the New York/New Jersey Stadium.
The match remained goalless after 90 minutes before Argentina was reduced to 10 men following the dismissal of Enzo Fernández. Spain made the numerical advantage count in extra time, with Ferran Torres scoring the decisive goal in the 106th minute to seal the victory.
Spain's title-winning campaign was built on a formidable defensive display, with the team conceding just one goal throughout the tournament.
The triumph marks Spain's second men's World Cup crown, adding to their first title won in South Africa in 2010.
