Law enforcement agencies have filed four separate cases implicating approximately 10,500 individuals following two consecutive days of violent protests, clashes, arson, and attacks on police in the capital’s Mirpur area.

According to officials from the Mirpur Model and Pallabi police stations, 22 suspects have been arrested so far in connection with the widespread disorder.

The cases follow intense confrontations between protesters and security personnel that led to extensive traffic disruption, vandalism of vehicles, and arson attacks. Authorities stated that police stations registered charges covering obstruction of government duties, attacks on law enforcement officers, vandalism of public property, and arson.

Heavy contingents of police and security personnel remain deployed across Mirpur-10 and key surrounding intersections to maintain law and order, while detectives continue investigative procedures to identify and apprehend other individuals involved in the unrest.
