Aishwarya Rai Bachchan commanded attention at Paris Fashion Week as she closed L’Oréal Paris’ ninth edition of Le Défilé, held near the Eiffel Tower at Place Joffre and École Militaire. The actor walked for the show’s empowering theme, “Walk Your Worth,” which celebrated confidence, diversity and female solidarity.
Rai Bachchan wore a custom all-black two-piece velvet gown from Syrian luxury label Yara Shoemaker’s Fall/Winter 2026-27 couture collection. The look, conceptualised and styled by celebrity stylist Mohit Rai, featured a sculpted corset-inspired bodice, plunging neckline, fitted silhouette and floor-length fishtail hem.
The ensemble was elevated by 3D fringe embroidery and a sheer velvet cape embellished with crystals. She completed the regal appearance with a diamond-encrusted crown, while debuting striking fiery-red hair styled in a deep side parting with soft waves.
The former Miss World shared the runway with an international lineup of L’Oréal Paris ambassadors, including Kendall Jenner, Celine Dion, Eva Longoria, Simone Ashley, Viola Davis and Jane Fonda.
One of the evening’s most talked-about moments came when Rai Bachchan and Céline Dion greeted each other warmly, holding hands, embracing and sharing an impromptu dance on stage. Videos of the interaction quickly circulated online, adding to the buzz around her appearance.
Her look drew widespread praise from fans and fashion watchers, with many calling her “queenly” and praising the contrast between the dramatic black couture and her bold new red hair.
