Bangladesh received $10.11 billion in remittances between July 1 and October 14 of FY2026–27, up 13.1% from $8.94 billion during the same period last year, according to Bangladesh Bank.
In the first 14 days of October, remittance inflows reached $1.516 billion, a 12.2% increase from $1.351 billion a year earlier. The country received $111 million on October 14 alone.
Analysts and central bank officials attributed the growth to increased overseas employment, stable exchange-rate mechanisms and greater use of formal banking channels by expatriates.
The rising inflow is helping strengthen Bangladesh’s foreign exchange reserves and support macroeconomic stability.
