Three films--“Sneher Bondhon”, “Cut-Piece” and “Chirkut”--are set to hit cinemas on the occasion of the upcoming Durga Puja festival.

The social and family drama “Sneher Bondhon”, directed by Kamruzzaman, is scheduled for release on 16 October. Inspired by true events, the film explores family relationships, emotional struggles and action-packed moments.

The film brings together Joy Chowdhury and Mou Khan as an on-screen pair for the first time. The makers are optimistic that the film will attract audiences during the festive holidays.

Meanwhile, “Cut-Piece”, directed and produced by Iffat Jahan Momo under the banner of Black Paper Films, marks the silver-screen debut of Torsa, who plays the central character, Mala. Newcomer Shifat Amin Shuvo stars opposite her.

Imran Ahmed Saudagar portrays the antagonist, while Elina Shammi, Bappy Ashraf, Saiful Kabir and Shahzada Samrat appear in supporting roles.

On the other hand, Muntasir Akib's “Chirkut” takes audiences back to the Rajshahi University campus of the 1990s, capturing the spirit of youth, friendship, nostalgia, romance and various aspects of campus life.

The film features an ensemble cast, including Shamol Mawla, Azizun Mim, Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed, Sumon Patwary, Abdullah Al Sentu, Sanjib Ahmed, Shawon Ashraf, Iqbal, Ajmal Mithu, Siam Nasir, Shimul, Sadi Khan, Shamim Ahsan, Sheikh Chandni, Mahira Hasan and Ibrahim.

“Chirkut” is also scheduled to hit cinemas on 16 October, coinciding with the Durga Puja festivities.
