Flights from Dhaka to Saudi Arabia continue to be cancelled one after another due to sustained attacks by Houthi rebels on Saudi Arabia. A total of 89 flights have been cancelled over the past four days, leaving more than 14,500 passengers stranded.
Kawser Mahmud, spokesperson for the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), disclosed this information on Wednesday afternoon.
He stated that 39 direct flights and 50 transit flights have been cancelled so far.
Kawser Mahmud added that the trend of flight cancellations might continue unless the situation returns to normal.
