Chattogram Board Reschedules Postponed HSC Exams from August 20

The Chattogram Education Board has announced a revised schedule for the postponed 2026 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations, with the deferred written tests set to begin on August 20.

The updated routine was issued through a notification signed by Professor Parvez Sajjad Chowdhury, Examination Controller of the Chattogram Education Board, on Tuesday.

According to the revised schedule, the postponed examinations will start with the compulsory English Second Paper on August 20. The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) examination will be held on August 22, followed by Physics First Paper, Accountancy First Paper and Logic First Paper on August 24. The corresponding Second Paper examinations for these subjects are scheduled for August 27.

Geography First Paper will be held on August 29. On the same day, Arabic and Pali First Paper examinations will take place in the afternoon, while Geography Second Paper along with Arabic and Pali Second Paper will also be conducted during the afternoon session.

On September 2, examinations will be held for Chemistry First Paper, Islamic History and Culture First Paper, History First Paper, Home Management and Family Life First Paper, and Production Management and Marketing First Paper. The Second Paper examinations for these subjects are scheduled for September 5.

Economics First Paper and Engineering Drawing and Workshop Practice First Paper will be conducted on September 7, while the Second Paper examinations for both subjects are set for September 9.

Under the board's instructions, morning examinations will be held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, while afternoon examinations will run from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Candidates have been instructed to take their assigned seats at least 30 minutes before the examinations begin.

The board also said that the Engineering Drawing and Workshop Practice First Paper examination on September 7 will be conducted at the candidates' respective colleges. Question papers will be collected from the main examination centre at 9:00 am, and the examinations will be supervised by the principals of the respective colleges.

The notification further stated that practical examinations for all subjects must be completed between September 9 and September 18.
