Prime Bank PLC has partnered with the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC) and Dhaka-based travel agency Irving Aviation Limited to make medical travel to Malaysia easier for Bangladeshi patients.

Prime Bank Additional Managing Director M Nazeem A Choudhury, MHTC CEO Dato’ Suriagandhi Suppiah and Irving Aviation Head of Business Development Tajria Rahman Rishta signed the agreement at an event in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Under the partnership, MHTC will connect Bangladeshi patients with leading Malaysian hospitals and healthcare institutions and provide information about treatment options.

Irving Aviation will assist medical travellers with travel arrangements, visa support, air tickets and initial medical-service enquiries.

Prime Bank will facilitate healthcare-related financial transactions and explore card-based payment facilities and applicable benefits or discounts for customers seeking treatment in Malaysia.

The partnership aims to provide Bangladeshi medical travellers with a more coordinated and convenient healthcare travel experience.

Hazwan Hasnol, chargé d’affaires of the Malaysian High Commission in Bangladesh, attended the programme along with representatives from the three organisations and other stakeholders.
