Bangladeshi expatriates sent $2.063 billion in remittances during the first 21 days of September in the 2026-27 fiscal year, according to Bangladesh Bank data.

The amount was 1.6 percent higher than the $2.031 billion received during the same period last year. On September 21 alone, remittance inflow stood at $69 million.

From July 1 to September 21, total remittance earnings reached $7.888 billion, up 13.8 percent from the $6.930 billion recorded during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.

The continued increase in remittance inflows is helping support Bangladesh’s foreign exchange reserves and overall macroeconomic stability.
