US President Donald Trump attacked Norway over his failure to win the Nobel Peace Prize, calling the country a “shithouse country” at a campaign rally in Michigan and saying he wanted nothing to do with Norwegians, Al Mayadeen reported.

Trump repeated his claim that he had stopped eight wars and said he told First Lady Melania Trump a week before the Nobel announcement that winning the prize would be “a great honor.”

He also renewed his criticism of human rights lawyer Navi Pillay, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate, dismissing her as “a woman that nobody ever heard of” and asking whether the prize could be awarded to two people.

“Frankly, Norway sucks,” Trump said, adding that he would welcome immigrants from Denmark but did not “want anybody from Norway” because of the Nobel decision.

Trump’s remarks reflect his continued efforts to challenge the Nobel Committee’s decision. After Pillay was announced as the winner earlier this month, he published a lengthy post on Truth Social claiming that he did not know who she was and asserting that he should have won eight Nobel Peace Prizes.
