The Bangladesh Bank (BB) website went live again at 8am on Sunday after remaining offline for three days as a precautionary measure amid a global cybersecurity alert, reports BSS.

BB spokesperson and Executive Director Arif Hossain Khan confirmed that the website was back online this morning.

The central bank took its website offline on October 22 following concerns over potential cyberattacks linked to security vulnerabilities in PHP, a widely used programming language for developing websites.

The website remained inaccessible over the following days as the central bank's IT team monitored the situation and worked to ensure its security.
