Popular Dhallywood actress Moushumi has received her US Green Card after nearly three years of waiting, marking a significant milestone in her life abroad.

The actress, who moved to the United States in mid-2023, recently shared the news while attending an event in the country.

According to reports, the lengthy Green Card application process had imposed certain restrictions on her ability to travel between Bangladesh and the United States.

With her permanent residency now secured, those uncertainties have come to an end, giving the actress greater flexibility to travel and pursue her personal and professional commitments.

A US Green Card allows foreign nationals to live and work permanently in the United States. Permanent residents may also become eligible to apply for US citizenship after fulfilling the necessary legal requirements.

Moushumi remains one of the most celebrated actresses in Bangladesh’s film industry. Throughout her decades-long career, she has won the hearts of audiences with numerous successful films and memorable performances.

The actress was last seen in the film “Contract Marriage”, directed by Hassan Jahangir. The film was released in the country’s theatres in May this year.
