Bangladesh received $9.997 billion in remittances between July 1 and October 13 of the current fiscal year, marking a 12.9 percent increase compared to the $8.856 billion recorded during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.

According to the latest data from Bangladesh Bank, the country received $1.405 billion in remittances from October 1 to October 13, representing a 10.6 percent growth over the $1.270 billion received during the same period in 2025.

On October 13 alone, expatriate Bangladeshis remitted $115 million back home.

The sustained growth in remittance inflows is strengthening the country’s foreign exchange earnings and providing critical support to the external sector amid ongoing economic challenges.
