Expatriate social organization 'The Community Voice of Australia' has taken a unique humanitarian initiative to stand by the people of distressed Nepal. To assist those affected by the recent situation in the country, the organization is hosting an amateur musical evening under the banner and slogan "Stand with Nepal."
The organizers informed that the special evening event will feature live music performances by local artists. Along with the music, a spread of traditional and delicious Nepalese food will be served to the attending guests. The main objective of this event is to strengthen the bonds within the expatriate community while expressing solidarity and empathy by standing beside Nepalese brothers and sisters during this time of crisis.
The price for food for each guest attending this charity event has been set at $15. Demonstrating a unique example of humanity, $5 from every $15 meal will go directly into a relief fund named the "Nepal Appeal." The money collected will be spent directly on providing emergency relief assistance to people in the affected areas of Nepal.
On behalf of "The Community Voice of Australia," Syeda Ishrat Ferdousi, Secretary (Liverpool), has extended a heart-felt invitation to expatriate Bangladeshis from all walks of life in Australia to join this noble initiative together and come forward to help the distressed people.
She said, "Standing by people in distress is our human and social responsibility. Everyone's sincere cooperation and participation in this event can become a beacon of hope for helpless people."
