‘Glitch in the Simulation’: Sam Altman Recalls Surreal Encounter with Andrew Garfield Filming Artificial

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman experienced a bizarre, surreal moment when Hollywood production came directly to his doorstep.  

​Speaking about the upcoming project Artificial, Altman revealed that scenes for the movie were filmed right outside his home. During production, he spotted actor Andrew Garfield—who plays a role inspired by or depicting him—and waved at the star.  

​Observing Garfield's performance, Altman noted that the actor nailed his mannerisms. "He did walk like me... I felt I was in some weird glitch of the simulation," Altman shared, capturing the surreal experience of watching a Hollywood star embody him on his own street.
